Parquet and laminate profiles

clipstech® accessories

Profile sawing aid
Suitable for all clipstech® support profiles. The alfer® profile sawing aid is adapted to all decor profiles of the clipstech® system so that they can be quickly and safely clamped in saws or miter boxes without scratching the visible surface.

Mounting aid
Suitable for all clipstech® support profiles. The alfer® mounting aids are clipped onto the support profiles prior to laying the floor covering and thus ensure precise positioning of the support profiles on doors, walls, etc. They also facilitate precise, flush connection of support profiles that have been placed on each other and ensure that sufficient expansion joint clearances are maintained when laying the coverings.

User tips

The sawing aid is adapted to the decor profiles in such a way as to allow them to be quickly and safely clamped in saws or cutting machines.

Miter cuts: The decor profiles are bent into shape by means of the pivoting or bending mechanism when installed according to the height of the floor coverings. Therefore the marks for the miter cuts should only be made once they are clipped into position. There are two options:
1. Take the end of the decor profile requiring the miter cut and clip about 10 cm of it onto the support profile that is already fixed to the floor. Mark the required angle of the miter cut and carefully remove the decor profile for sawing.
2. Simulate the subsequent assembly using left-over pieces of floor covering, underlay, and the support profile fastened to a wooden panel, for example, and clip on at least 10 cm of the decor profile. Mark and then saw the miter cut.
In both cases you can correct the sawn cut if necessary by filing afterwards.

When using the alfer®-clipstech® system it is important that the support profiles are laid before the respective floor covering. The ideal expansion joint gap is achieved using the mounting aid, item no. 88008. It is also possible to fit retrospectively in existing expansion joints. If you prefer conventional skirting boards for the wall finish, you can still use the fitting aids, without support profiles, to preserve the expansion joints.
